Pours a cloudy golden color. Frothy white head forms on the beer earlier dissipating. Aroma has notes of grapefruit, lemon citrus, white grape, some light grain and a touch of funk.

Sense of taste has notes of citrus, lemon, white grape, sweet green apple tree, some yeasty funk, a flake of grain, and a moderate tartness. Feel is moderately bodied, shine, drier finish.

Overall a lovely, world class saison.

Dark beer, intense black.
Abundant, beige and soft foam.
Medium dense torso in the oral fissure.
Triumph of taste of espresso coffee, not only for the toasted notes, but precisely for the roasting taste (between tobacco and bitter chocolate).
Notes of licorice when the beer is still fresh, left to dilute the dark chocolate emerges, which well intersects with the predominant taste of long espresso coffee.
Alcohol content well subconscious, despite existence a fairly circuitous beer.

Pours a golden blonde colour with a near crystal articulate transparency. Head is two fingers of white foam, with more than build up after a lite swirl of the glass. This frothy, pillowy foam sits a meridian for a long while after the pour. There is visible sediment at the base of operations of the canteen; nonetheless, only the starting time 3/four of the bottle were poured into the glass for this review. Olfactory property is punchy grass, herbal, medicinal, and spicy hops with a big cut of spicy yeast just behind. This yeast comes paired with clove, apple cider, and earthy malts. Information technology smells low-cal, and yet thick; that is to say, the breadth of notes is pretty simple, but the depth to each note is huge. Flavor contour driven by the aforementioned characteristics. Information technology pits resiny, herbal, grassy, spicy hops against earthy, bready malt undertones. Clove pairs with spicy yeast for a little farther zest and grit. Mouth experience has a precipitous effervescence, at least, initially. Effervescence bubbling downwards to a thin crisp texture. It has a medium thickness. Overall, actually stellar depth here, while remaining easy to drink. Information technology's on the 'easier drinking' side of the Belgium spectrum, and yet still retains a remarkable depth.

Poured from a 750mL bottle into my Troubadour tulip.

Cloudy xanthous torso with two fingers of dense papaya whip merengue upwards top. Gummy, layered lacing; no legs; superior retentiveness.

Lovely phenolic-laden nose with hints of citrus, wildflowers, and peppery funk.

Complex, multifaceted balance of flavors with yeast and hops dueling for attending. Tart, wild, with balanced minerality from the oak. Characteristic lemon-lime and mild bitterness from the hops. Season profile evolves in waves into the fairly dry end. Hints of woods and earth amid those of sourdough starter and fresh herbs. Perhaps a hint of stone fruit (ranier cerise? unripe apricot?) with some floral notes in the aftertaste.

Medium-bodied, non quite creamy, well carbonated. Faint tannins, restrained ABV.

An interesting, well structured, nicely balanced slightly "wild" saison. Adept stuff.

Purchased at Pennridge Beverage in Perkasie, PA. 4pk/16oz cans.

Pours a deep brown colour as opposed to the normal dark black color of most stouts I've had. Mostly opaque. Picayune to no head on the initial pour.

Aromas of semi-sweetness chocolate and a welcoming sweet.

More of a dark-brown ale taste rather than a true stout. A rather sweet brew with hints of chocolate, cinnamon and a rather bitter aftertaste. I'one thousand not picking upwards any of the advertised, graham cracker, marshmallow or vanilla that is advertised on the label. The photo and description say the beer is ix.4% but my label says eleven%. The 11% ABV is well hidden.

Medium consistency that leaves a sugariness bitterness after each sip.

Overall, I was underwhelmed by this beer. From the characterization, I was expecting a rich, dessert-type stout but information technology isn't quite as advertised. Not horrible but by no means my favorite stout. I'll savor the remaining cans merely will not seek out in the futurity…thank you!

Advent: Pours a more often than not clear (>xc% clarity), medium orange to gilt colour with a moderate and pleasant white head. SRM of ix-ten. (4.00)

Aroma: Strong and bready aromas upfront. A wave of bread before it turns into a honey and grain sweetness. Some light yeast that gives hints of lemon and honey.

Flavor; Moderate flavors of smooth staff of life malts that evolve into a honey flavor earlier some drying yeast and grains. Notwithstanding ultimately it finishes slightly sweet and smooth with a light lemon and honey on the finish.

Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate, but lower carbonation for the style. A honey sweetness lingers on the palate.

Compared to Summit Keller Pils 4/17/22: Pours a darker colour. Stronger aromas. More than bread malt, sweet lemon, and dearest. Less flower and dry out grains. Larger and sweeter.

Overall: A pretty expert German lager hither. Pours clearer and drinks heavier and sweeter than I expected for the fashion.

Canned on four/12/2022. Reviewed v days subsequently. Poured into a snulip glass. It pours a dense, muddy orange with two total fingers of frothy, bright white head and very thick, clinging lacing. What a olfactory organ! Ripe honeydew melon, pineapple, orange, lemon, and lime with bready malt and soft floral hops. The smell indicates the mitt of Equilibrium. This is one fourth dimension where the taste doesn't follow the smell. It'southward incomparably earthy, grassy, and quite bitter. To my taste the Simcoe hops dominate over the Galaxy, Cashmere, and Citra Cryo. The fruited flavor is largely bitter grapefruit rind and lemon pare. The sweeter fruit notes I smelled are far in the background of taste. Equally information technology warms in the glass I'm getting more malt sugariness and the gustation is starting to remind me of brown bread smeared with tart marmalade. The rima oris feel is great: thick and flossy with a pleasant level of carbonation, and information technology drinks rather lite for 8.viii% ABV. Overall, Insane in the Encephalon is a very fine Purple New England IPA. And it doesn't taste like a typical Magnify or Equilibrium NEIPA - which I estimate is the betoken of a collaboration.

Advent: Pours a completely clear, bright and glowing amber and ember color with a balmy white head. Beautiful color, but minor caput. SRM of 14. (4.00)

Feel: Medium-bodied. Lower carbonation. Finish is slightly flat, but clean with a nutty flavor lingering. (3.75)

Compared to Modist Brewing Olde Omen 4/17/22: Pours much lighter, lighter head. Milder aromas. More than brownish staff of life, toasted malt, nuts. Less chocolate, roasted malt, leather.

Overall: A nice and make clean dark lager. The flavors are mild, but at that place. Complex notwithstanding non overpowering. Drinks quite similar to a Vienna or Oktoberfest Marzen lager. Expected it to be darker, but the flavors are enjoyable. (Rating: 4.06)

Pour was a hazy honey golden color. Like an unfiltered beer. Had a huge iii fingers of soapy white head that slowly, very slowly lowered. Looks like we got a lot lacing as well.

Smells like Donald Duck orangish juice if anyone remembers that. Also picking upwardly like some grapes and a hint of bitter on the smell. Like a fruit pith bitter aroma. Perhaps even some apple tree coming up on that smell likewise.

Gustation is like orangish leading a force of other fruit fighters into your mouth. A slight hint of biting at the back end and a touch of peppery estrus on the far finish. Hard to pick out the specific fruits only there are a lot of them in at that place. Orange is the predominant one.

Oral fissure is just into the medium range. That peppery burn at the dorsum I attribute to the loftier horsepower on this one. The terminate is just a touch on mucilaginous due to the sugariness,

Another IPA in the books. This 1 is a large one and only available in stovepipe cans in our surface area of Las Vegas. A nice beer to gloat my altogether, actually yesterday. I do have another review coming probably tomorrow. Getting back to information technology. This beer does take a bit of a burn down from the ABV. Not real bad but noticeable. The sugariness does stick a flake in the back. Overall a big badass flavorful beer. Nevertheless you take to inquire is information technology a flavored beer you want or a beer? To me this almost tips into those loftier horsepower flavored malt beverages selling then well lately.

Mouth medium, finish a lingering slight bitterness.

Pours a very murky orangey brown, it's calorie-free than the pic makes it wait. Large quick forming caput slowly settles to a see through layer of white, lots of splotchy lace.

Nose is a fruit salad medley, tropical fruits. Not much else other than that, mayhap just the subtlelest if grassiness as well.

Sense of taste is same as nose, with a little more of a traditional hop bite only it is still minimal.

Soft mouthfeel and calorie-free torso, a minor hop bite on the finish.

I got a 24pck of this beer from the Festival supermarket near UW LaCrosee in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. It poured a articulate amber with thin white head that dissipated apace and left cipher lace. Thanks to Roy_Hobbs for this one, from his NBS BIF #fifteen multiple strikes. 16oz can (dated 6/9/21) into 14oz teku. Poured a near solid dark brown/light black color with a half inch of tan head that had good retention and very depression retention.

The odor had a nice alloy of semi-sweet malts and slightly bitter hops.

Pretty similar on the tongue, with those hops popping out a fleck more.

The body was medium, carried good carb, and had a slightly sweet cease that dried out after a few moments.

Drinkability was very practiced, I could put this into rotation if information technology were local to me.

Overall, a very nice and enjoyable brew. Certainly worth trying if you run across it.

From a xvi oz. tin dated 03/08/22. Sampled April 17, 2022.

The pour is a traditional low-to-no haze golden-amber underneath a modest lingering ivory caput.

The olfactory property expresses pino and floral sensations for the most past with a lower contour but notable toasted grain graphic symbol. Inviting.

The mouthfeel is medium or improve and the overall texture is smooth and creamy.

The flavour starts with the toasted bready sugariness but then those pine and floral hops evolve and move toward a mild to moderate biting end. This is more like a traditional IPA and I prefer those to the newer ones.

Pours a copper/amber in color with half a finger of frothy foam atop that subsides into a sparse layer of bubbling over time. Some lacing every bit you drink. Carbonation looks to be on the lower side. Darker in color than expected, but otherwise it looks good. Smell is sweet, caramelized malts with citrus and pine hops coming through strongly in the background. Pretty pungent and enticing. Taste follows the nose well. This is a pretty balanced IPA with ample roasted malts, but a incomparably bitter hoppiness, especially towards the consume. Lemon and pine for the most part with hints of peach and melon. I quite like the residual. Mouthfeel is medium with zesty carbonation. Solid body, not quite chewy but definitely not thin. Very beverage.

Overall this was a lot more malt-forward than I expected, but I concluded up quite liking the remainder. It'due south definitely hop-forwards on the finish, but pretty balanced upwardly front and quite drinkable at 7% ABV. Looking over some of the other reviews, it seems like they must accept shipped out some bad batches equally my tasting notes don't match a lot of what others were proverb. Date: Unknown
7th beer from 903, about of the beer that I have consumed were fruited sours. Nigh of the beers so far accept been well made. I but pulled this beer out of the fridge, and it is 42 degrees. Using my Founder tulip glass to beverage this beer. The pour did create a frothy pinkish-majestic half-finger head. Poor head retention left $.25 of fruit on the glass. The color is night imperial and thick, like fruit soup. I am non concerned with the retentiveness; I would have liked to concluding longer.
When I opened the can, tarty blueberries emitted. Nosing the glass, I smell almonds, shortbread, lightly toasted biscuits, and lemon-like sourness. I am not a fan of fake almond excerpt. Fortunately, this beer does display that awful aroma.
The almond cookie does not overpower the fruit. The tartiness of the huckleberry creates a perfect marriage with the Berliner. The grain profile has a solid backbone, thus assuasive the other flavors to flower.
A thick mouthfeel finishes slightly tarty. Low carbonation shows how heavy the beer is on the palate.
I enjoyed this slushy. Loads of blueberries made this beer delightful. I am happy the almond flavoring was non prevalent. A great beer to get-go an Easter Dominicus.

poured from a 16oz can into a TG MD snifter. pours a cola. town but with a flossy dark brown foam. this can was basically poured at room temperature and fifty-fifty at that the offshoot additions are subtle and balanced. the cinnamon leads the way, if anything. sense of taste follows with a nice snack of cinnamon followed by subdued coffee and chocolate. vanilla is more of an afterthought and / or tends to round things out. solid mouthfeel. not equally total to me every bit another iterations of Pressed. overall, maybe a little too much going on. it's certainly pleasant (perhaps beyond pleasant, even) and potable. doesn't actually carry any of the loftier abv in the nose, taste or mouthfeel, making it all the more drink. i'd say it's a solid "breakfast porter" with its flavor profile simply its abv will ship y'all straight to a morning nap. either mode, it's a good regal porter.

Thanks to Roy_Hobbs for this i from his blasts during NBS BIF #xv. 16oz tin (date 12/nineteen/21, I recollect. The engagement was blurred) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very dark, cloudy, and slightly muddy brown color with less than a quarter-inch of light tan caput that had low memory and lacing.

The olfactory property was the expected soft malts and floral/earthy hops of the style. Just a chip of hop seize with teeth appeared as well.

Pretty similar on the natural language, with the slight bit of hop bitterness showing through a fleck more.

The body was light of medium, smooth, and had a medium terminate that leaned a chip sweet.

Drinkability was very good, a nicely easy carouse.

Overall, a pretty good accept on the fashion. Worth a shot if y'all see it.

About as stake colored as pilsners become, lighter even than straw or lemon. Slightly hazy, quite appropriate for the style. Solid caput product, and nifty memory and lacing. Quite a chip of cloudiness and even a fleck of particulate from the bottom of the can.

Grassy and herbal aroma, with bottom notes of light citrus and bread.

Extremely flavorful on the palate, with notes of thick, semi-sweet white bread, cracker, lemon zest, honeysuckle, grass, cream, light-green herbs, and even darker breadstuff grains similar rye.

Smoothen, flossy; on the heavier side of light bodied.

An absolute pleasance to drink.

I'g working my mode through the Sam Adams Summer Squeeze pack. The Porch Rocker is the beginning one I'd buy once more (still have the Beach Session IPA, only I'yard looking forward to it). It'southward a dark yellowish, mostly clear appearance. It simply poured a sparse head, that didn't stick around long. Aroma is a little lemon and a footling bready/yeasty. The flavor of this one is actually good, though--a dainty, hoppy lager with just the right amount of lemon. Really tasty summertime beer.

16oz tin can into a pint drinking glass. Canned three/15/22, so a month old.

Really squeamish looking beer. Crystal articulate deep night coppery brownish colored body. Small cream colored head persists throughout leaving scattered lacing.

Malty caramel odour.

On tasting, quite roasty. Strong malts, roast moving ahead of the caramel sweet.

Mouth between medium and total, finish more roast than sweet.

Overall, pretty good beer. Personal taste would have preferred a closer rest between sweet and roast, simply would certainly have again.

Partial tin can pour into a snifter.

Peanut butter comes through nicely, but a bit as well much sweetness from the maple syrup for my palate and preferences. Still another delicious brown ale from Fieldwork, but I doubt I'thou taking down all 16 oz in single session due to the sweetness.

12oz undated tin can poured into a teku glass at 55° Fahrenheit 9% ABV. The beer pours opaque golden amber with off white head. The head recedes to a thin ring and island of tiny bubbles. The olfactory property is mild with general sweetness upwards front, followed by caramel, banana, and clove. The taste is semisweet pale malt with notes of honey, clove and earthy moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with average plus carbonation. The finish is an enigma, being almost completely dry despite the sweetness of the beer. Perfect combination of carbonation, ABV and dryness for drinkability. Booze is more often than not hidden, except for the warming effect on the throat and belly. Overall, excellent BSPA.

Head is a fiddling weak, even though the style guideline here doesn't prescribe a large caput. This beer has a dark brown torso. The nose has a rich nutty component with a hint of lightly roasted grain bitterness. It somehow evokes the memory of a dimly lit place with an erstwhile, dark wooden bar. The sense of taste leans more than towards the grain notes, with a mix of nut and irksome citrus (indistinct merely on the less citric acid terminate like orange). The finish has a dry ending with a coffee note, unsweetened with a bitter border to it. Carbonation has a piffling fizz to it, enough to clean up a low-cal coating from the malt components.

Chiliad- Smooth, medium body.

O- Very well counterbalanced and easy to drink. I remember tons of hype around this when it was kickoff released and all these years later this is still a beer worth hyping.

12 ounce canteen, bottle is stamped with 09/09/21 merely the label says 2022 release. 17.3% ABV. Served in a Dragon's Milk chalice, the beer pours dark dark-brown/black with not quite an inch tan head that stuck effectually a little bit. Decent amount of lacing. I like the odour, the mash smells like bourbon, vanilla, caramel, roasted malt and some night chocolate. Taste is like to the aroma, but with the addition of some oak, boozy, dark fruit and fudge flavors. All the flavors mesh well together with no one season overpowering the others. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and a bit rich with a moderate amount of carbonation. It'due south a little boozy, merely doesn't quite seem like it's 17.3% either. Overall I liked this brew a lot, certainly worth trying if yous're able to! $27.99 a 4-pack.

Poured from a can dated 4/five/22
Bright yellow orange cloud thick appearance. Nice ane inch fluffy head, soapy lacing and sparse veil

Aromas of apricot, mango, grapefruit , papaya. At that place is a fleck of a bawdy, pine, grassy notation and vanilla

Gustation is tropical, slightly bitter tasting equally in grapefruit and orange zest. Biscuit and vanilla tasting. Bawdy flavor comes through the citrus.

Mouthfeel is kind of chunky and resinous. Tingling on the tongue upward forepart and tart on the back end. Hint of booze in the terminate, almost sour and not sweet at all.

Overall for every bit thick and heavy as it looks it drinks adequately light, a fleck like sour candy and pretty easy drinking. If you like IPAs with a pucker gene this is it.

I can't say that this is an attractive beer ... or even a beer, by all appearances. Thick and smoothie-like, with a ton of sediment that gets deposited on the glass instead of lacing. It looks ... bad. Completely opaque and murky.

Aroma is wonderful, with notes is chocolate, graham cracker, cinnamon, berries, apricot, and cream. In that location'southward something a flake flat or off about the olfactory organ, all the same; something hard to put my finger on, not quite metallic, perhaps an aspect of the graham cracker.

Unsurprisingly, it's thick but lively on the palate; a bear on grainy. No impression of alcohol on the palate.

Flavor is substantially indistinguishable from a drupe smoothie at the mall or gym. No hint of the off-note from the nose. Everything comes to play: graham cracker, cinnamon, cherry, vanilla, blackberry. The apricot is perhaps the least noticeable, or fades the quickest. The melange is unmistakably smoothie-similar; blind, the merely matter that would at all requite away the beer aspect, as little as it is, would be the carbonation. Otherwise, it's a smoothie in every way. Hell, information technology almost tastes healthy!

What a strange but delicious trip.

750ml bottle into a teku. 2013 release, and then 9 years in the canteen.

Interesting just mixed expect. Night maroon brown body, faintly hazy at outset, murky with the last 2 pours. A modest off white head fizzes away quite speedily, leaving only spots of lacing.

Dark dried fruit aroma, manages to scent a little sour.

On tasting, the nose is confirmed. Sourness prominent, even a little bitter after the last few ounces are poured. Withal, the stale fruit notes keep, if they had been a picayune stronger, a very prissy residual would take been accomplished.

Mouth is light and on the thin side of medium. End leaves a sour bitterness on the tongue.

Overall, while non an unpleasant beverage, I would guess that age has not served this one well.

A: Pours a slightly hazy golden/yellowish color. With a dense ii finger white head that forms. Excellent retentivity and lace left behind.
S: Lemon and citrus rind in the nose. A vaguely light Brett yeasty character. Though non exactly Brett, just plenty to give it a nice light funky bite. Lite esters and an about grape/vinous quality.
T: Again, lemon and citrus. Pithy nigh. Only enough tartness and light "funk" to requite a very prissy yeast presents. Along with esters, fiery spice . Grape and light bitterness lingering. Oh, I like this a lot.
M/O: A medium body with neat effervescent carbonation. With a wonderful tart and dry out finish. Which makes this really easy to come dorsum to and drink. I already want to go and option some more upwards.

Yeah this is a really good instance of a Saison IMO. Really well done all effectually. Only enough residuum between the fruity notes, hops, yeast, and tartness. I highly recommend this.

i PINT can
Served in stemless vino glass

This beer pours a turbid yellow/orange hue. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves spotty lacing.

Mostly citrus aromas. I do get a little tropical fruit and pine as well

More than tropical fruit in the flavour. Citrus compliments the tropical flavor. Grapefruit and light pine in the finish. No lingering bitterness

Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel

Another great entry into the annals of EWS.
